About Stone Forest

Stone Forest is the culmination of David and Betsy Koos' careers and life pursuits. It hosts life affirming gatherings, supported by the power and beauty of nature, in an atmosphere of openness and communion.

David Koos, Ph.D., and Betsy Koos, LCSW, combine 60 years as psychotherapists and teachers with extensive training and experience in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Solution Focused Therapy, Tai Chi and Peruvian indigenous healing practices. Their retreats and workshops at Stone Forest are a natural
progression of their lives' work. Focusing upon the integration of mind, body and spirit, these retreats and workshops provide opportunities for participants to make profound and lasting changes in their lives.

After years of searching for just the right location, David and Betsy chose the southern slopes of the Grand Mesa as the site for Stone Forest. The Grand Mesa is the highest altitude and largest mesa in the world. It offers a myriad of year round recreational opportunities including hiking, biking, fishing,
boating, Nordic and Alpine skiing, and horseback riding. Covered with alpine forest and over 200 lakes and reservoirs, Grand Mesa is a truly unique geological feature. Western Colorado also offers river rafting, world class mountain biking, vineyards and
winery's, and most often, blue skies all year.

David and Betsy rent Stone Forest  to teachers and facilitators who desire a magnificent natural setting for their own workshops and retreats.
